About EA Sports
EA Sports is a division of Electronic Arts game developers. The division focuses on creating sports games. Originally, the name was a marketing gimmick for Electronic Arts, where they attempted to mimick real life sports networks by calling themselves EA Sports Network and using real sports commentators. Soon after, it became a sub-division of its own. The motto for EA Sports, ‘it’s in the game’ has become a cultural slogan in the sports world. Unlike other game developers, EA Sports has no tie to one specific platform, so it produces games for most consoles.
